Canadian Immigration through Education | PR Pathway 2021

During the pandemic, the Canadian government is more focused on holding international students back and give them more Permanent Residency routes and it does make sense too! International students, who pay substantially higher tuition than domestic students, are an important element of the economic growth, contributing for almost $4 billion in annual revenue for Canadian universities in 2018-19,” says an official report.

What are the new PR Pathways for International Students?

Recently IRCC (Immigration Refugees & Citizenship Canada) launched a New Temporary Residence to Permanent Residence (TR to PR) pathway program for more than 90,000 applicants with Canadian Study and work experience and the Immigration mister has already given the hint about the possibility of raising that cap.

Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian Experience Class is for skilled workers who have at least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada, in the last 3 years, and want to become permanent residents. During the pandemic when the government of Canada stopped Express Entry Draws for Federal Skilled Worker Outlander applicants, CEC draws continue to happen with the largest draw ever in history that took place recently in which IRCC invited approximately 28,000 Express Entry CEC candidates.

It is easier for IRCC to process PR applications for CEC candidates who are currently living and residing in Canada and makes it easier to communicate with applicants even and as well as they have already contributed to their country's economy in different means for ex. tuition fee, taxes, etc.
