Express Entry Draw #143 - Provincial Nominee Specific | New CRS Score

Updated: Apr 17

News from Canadian Office: The Canadian Immigration Authorities have conducted another Express Entry balloting round within 7 days. The previous draw was conducted on 9th April which was specific for Canadian Experience Class Candidates. Today, the government held a draw specifically for those candidates who got their initial nomination from any of the provinces in Provincial Nominee Program streams.

Details: Express Entry Draw #143 resulted in 118 invitations being issued to those who already got their initial nomination from any of the provinces in PNP streams! The minimum CRS cut off score was 808. This shows that even in this pandemic situation, Canada continues to strive for its immigration level plans for 2020 - 2022.

The CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) is a score out of 1,200 used in the Express Entry immigration system of Canada.

Many aspirants get confused between the cut off of the federal skilled worker stream which currently varies from 465 to 470 and this score 808. So we would like to clarify all that when a candidate gets nominated from any of the provinces he/she gets an additional 600 points in their CRS score. So for example, if a candidate had 208 CRS in Express Entry and he got a nomination from a province, he will get 600 additional points and will ultimately be selected in the very next round of Express Entry. A valid express entry profile is mandatory to be considered. This indicates the bright future for aspirants seeking Immigration to Canada through Provincial Nominee Programs in 2020. - Superior Consulting NewsRoom.

Update (16th April 2020): Another Major Express Entry draw took place which was the 144th one, resulting in 3,782 invitations being issued to CEC candidates in Express Entry Pool. The CRS saw the biggest drop in cut off score in 2020 for the very first time. The minimum CRS in this draw was 455.
