Express Entry & PNP Immigration

Build Your Canadian Permanent Residence Strategy with Superior Consulting

Canada offers permanent residence opportunities to qualified professionals, skilled workers and tradespeople through Express Entry and different Provincial Nominee Programs.

However, qualifying for Express Entry does not automatically mean that you will receive an invitation. Your chances depend on factors such as your age, education, language results, work experience, occupation, CRS score, spouse’s profile and provincial eligibility.

Superior Consulting (Pvt.) Ltd. evaluates your complete profile and develops a practical immigration strategy based on the most suitable federal and provincial options.

Who May Qualify?

You may have a potential Canada skilled immigration profile if you have:

For married applicants, both spouses should be assessed before selecting the principal applicant. In some cases, the spouse may have a stronger profile due to age, education, language ability or occupation.

Canada Immigration Pathways

Federal Skilled Worker Program

This is generally the main Express Entry pathway for professionals with skilled work experience gained outside Canada.

Applicants normally require:

The Federal Skilled Worker 67-point requirement is different from the CRS score used to rank candidates in the Express Entry pool.

Canadian Experience Class

This pathway is generally suitable for applicants who have obtained at least one year of eligible skilled work experience in Canada.

Federal Skilled Trades Program

This program is designed for eligible tradespeople and generally requires relevant trade experience together with a qualifying Canadian job offer or certificate of qualification.

Provincial Nominee Programs

Canadian provinces and territories operate their own immigration programs according to local labour-market requirements.

A Provincial Nominee Program may be suitable where:

An Express Entry-aligned provincial nomination can add 600 CRS points, significantly improving the chance of receiving an Invitation to Apply.

Some provincial programs require a job offer, while others may select applicants based on occupation, language ability, work experience or provincial demand.

What Determines Your CRS Score?

The Comprehensive Ranking System ranks candidates according to factors including:

There is no permanent CRS score that guarantees selection. Invitation scores vary according to the type of draw and number of candidates invited.

A Canadian job offer is not compulsory for the Federal Skilled Worker Program or Canadian Experience Class. The previous 50 or 200 CRS points for arranged employment were removed in March 2025, although a job offer may still be required for certain provincial or trade pathways.

Express Entry Category-Based Selection

Canada may conduct targeted invitation rounds for candidates with particular language abilities, occupations or Canadian work experience.

Current categories include:

Applicants must first qualify for an Express Entry program and enter the pool. Having an occupation within a category does not automatically guarantee an invitation.

Language Tests and Educational Assessment

Accepted Language Tests

For English:
For French:

IELTS Academic is not accepted for Express Entry.

Higher language scores can improve Federal Skilled Worker eligibility, CRS points, category-based selection and provincial nomination prospects.

Educational Credential Assessment

Applicants with foreign education generally require an Educational Credential Assessment to confirm the Canadian equivalency of their qualification.

An ECA is not the same as professional licensing. Doctors, pharmacists, nurses, engineers, teachers and other regulated professionals may need a separate licensing process.
